Lillian MacLean - Northern Lights Quilt

A talented quilter and creator of colourful fabric art, passed away in October 2024.

Lillian MacLean was a long-time and treasured member of Artisans Waterfront Market.

She was also a valued member of the Island Craft Council, the Canadian Quilting Association, and the Northern Lights Quilt Guild.

Her creations are in homes across Canada and around the world.

We are honoured to share with you some of the last pieces quilted by Lillian.

We will miss her and her colourful creations.

Quilting is my passion!

I love to play with fabric to create quilts of all sizes, from postcard quilts with tiny exquisite details to king-size quilts with wild and wonderful colours.  As a juried member of the Island Craft Council, the Canadian Quilting Association, and The Northern Lights Quilt Guild, I am constantly challenged to experiment with colour, technique and artistry in traditional and contemporary styles - and the ideas just keep coming.  Like all devoted quilters, I have a stash of fabric, a riotous wall of colour in my case and a long list of potential projects.
