we're all kinds of creative
Terry Kerr
Terrilyn moved to PEI in 1995. She has many hobbies including quilting, gardening, fused glass and kayaking.
Terrilyn began braiding rugs in 1996, learning the craft from Jean Shumate, a well known rug braider on the Island. She uses blanket ends from MacAusland's Woolen Mills in Bloomfield, PEI, cutting the strips as she goes and choosing combinations of beautiful colours to produce each unique rug design. These rugs are made from pure wool, are long lasting and will provide a wonderful accent to any home.
"Terrilyn is also a published author, having written a play, produced poetry and short stories. Her first children's book was published in 2015. It is called "The Little Red Marble, a Journey into Sea Glass" and was well received by adults and children alike. The second in the Red Marble saga is titled, "The Little Red Marble, Adventures In The Ocean" and was published in 2016. The books are both factual, with a bit of whimsy thrown in.
Both books highlight sea glass, marine animals and life within the Atlantic Ocean. The books are Illustrated by Nancy Perkins."
Also among her other Artisan creations...
"My Wine Glass Wraps are designed using multiple glass, porcelain, and wooden beads, fastened on the ends of a galvanized wire. They not only are distinctive, bright and whimsical but serve to distinguish one person's wine glass from another's. Hand made and one of a kind, these wraps will brighten up any dinner table."
