I retired to PEI in 2017, after employment in Western Canada for 40 years.  I enjoy carving and have dabbled in it over the course of my working career.  More time can now be devoted to my art.  I have been heavily influenced throughout my life by the natural world around me and this is where I draw most of my inspiration.  My love for many of the arts from other cultures shows through in some of my work.  Although early on this path, I find that I am becoming more skilled with each piece.

The materials I choose to work with are primarily natural materials such as bone, antler (dropped horns only), stone or wood. While some can be fairly exotic many of the materials are found items. I collected antlers out west every spring and with the abundance of cattle ranches, bone material for carving was easy to find.  I love turning something found into a little thing of beauty.
